For years people took it for granted that baselayers would have some inconvenient seams, a questionable shelf-life, and a uniform construction that left some areas a little toooo warm by lunchtime.
Ortovox rejects all that. The 230 Competition line doesn’t have seams, thanks to Ortovox’s specialized circular-knitting manufacturing process. And the designers mapped subtle differences to make a garment that’s actually responsive to real people’s bodies. Warmer areas get a breathable mesh structure, while cold-sensitive spots like the kidneys get a heavier 240g/m weight of Merino wool than is present in the ribbed structure of the rest of the garment.
One thing is constant throughout: The 230 Competition baselayer uses ultrafine 16.5 micron fibers for the softest possible feel against the skin.Â
