Pedal to Pints : A bikepacking trip exploring some of the finniest micro brews the NEK has to offer.
Join us for an unforgettable pedal-powered adventure from Dirt Church Brewing to Kingdom Brewing! Saddle up your steed and prepare for a brew-tiful journey through Vermont's picturesque landscapes and microbrew culture. This will be a semi-supported bike-packing trip. What do you mean semi-supported you ask? Well let's say you want to try bikepacking but don't have all the fancy bags, we got you. Put your gear in a trash bag and through it in our van that will be following us the entire way. Or say you got a little too excited and blew your legs out 15 miles into the ride, we got you. Just jump in our van for a little break. What we are trying to say is "We got you!". We want you to push your limits and comfort zones but know there is a safety net.
Now don't let our relaxed nature and calm demeanor fool you, these rides are no joke. You're going to need legs as strong as a triple IPA. We will be on plenty of Vermont's beautiful dirt roads but we will have a fair bit of true Class 4 roads. Be prepared for rocky, muddy, maybe even hike-a-bike terrain. If you enjoy taking the road less traveled (literally) and exploring Vermont's seemingly endless backroads this trip is for you.Â
Tickets will be $50 and this will include:Â
-First beer at Kingdom Brewing and Dirt Church.
-Raffle ticket to win a bag from Buggies BagsÂ
-Special Treats along the ride each day
-Safety van
-Unlimited Stoke

Itinerary:
8/3 10:00am :
Our bikepacking excursion kicks off at Dirt Church Brewing. We will do some meet and greets, and gear checks, and give one last overview of the trip. We will then top off our water bladders and empty our personal bladders one more time before we saddle up. We will have a couple of stops along the way to refuel, take in the views, and talk about what beer we are going to get first.
4:30-5:30 pm: We will be arriving at Kingdom Brewing. Here we will be able to shower, eat some incredible homemade pizza, and of course sip on some finely crafted ales. After you shower, grab your pint and a slice, sit back, and relax while you listen to some live music. After gorging ourselves all night, we will waddle ourselves to our tents and get some shut-eye.
8/4 7:30(ish)am :
We will emerge from our slumber to a fresh pot of coffee, and begin to make our breakfast. As we get packed up for the day we will go over the day's route and game plan.
9:00 am-
Butts on saddles and we get the day rolling. We will have a stop to refuel about 4 miles into the ride. Our van will be providing snacks for the rest of the ride. We will have a lovely rolling ride back to Dirt Church Brewing where some cold crisp brews will be waiting for us. We then begin to part ways, we hug, we cry, and remember it's not goodbye just see you later.

The ideal bike for this trip:
Now this is a tough question because what I want to say is "The perfect bike is the one you have". If I had to give a better answer though I would start with the minimum tire size would be 40c. Now that's my personal minimum to be comfortable. I think the ideal tire size would be 45c - 2.4. The class 4 stretches will definitely test your bike handling skills with skinnier tires. Here is shop guy Connor's rig he took on a scouting mission:
