April, 30th
The last day of April is upon us as spring has certainly sprung in Stowe.
With Stowe Mountain Resort closed now for the last few weeks, earn your turns skiers have been seen in waves coming and going on both Spruce Peak and Mt. Mansfield.
Top to bottom coverage is still in full effect on both mountains, but is pretty limited on the Spruce side at this point. Main Street is still holding in with top to bottom coverage with Main Street Head Wall still hanging in too.
Over on Mt Mansfield there is still a vast array of top to bottom options to choose from. Liftline and Hayride are still holding in there with a few patches to dodge as well as Perry Merrill and Gondolier. For spicier options, Starr, Goat and the underneath the Double Chair are still holding some snow with plenty of flat corn to be had as long as you don’t mind a little turf skiing and or walking along with some creative line choices.Â
But the true gem still is Nosedive, with the best coverage and overall snow conditions. Chances are pretty good you will bump into someone skiing the Dive on a daily basis, most notably Noah Dines getting his laps in as he continues to chase 3 million vertical feet skied in a calendar year.
