The run continues with early season conditions being pretty prime right now. The dense and wet snow has dried out up high over the last few days, producing a velvety texture that powder skiers live for. The wet and dense 8-10” we received on Sunday and Monday has really bounded well over all of the rocks, stumps and most water bars on the hill.
Sweet untracked lines are still out there if you are willing to ski at dawn. earn your turns and get creative on your objectives. Hot laps lift serve skiing at Stowe is also quite excellent right now with some of the fabled steeps now open from the top like like Starr, Upper National, Liftline and Nosedive which are all skiing great with packed powder conditions. Its western like out there right now and feels oh so good for us New England skiers to be skiing soft snow. Get out there the over the next few days if you can as we are looking at yet another warm up and the dreaded “R” word coming back at us again for Sunday evening. Hopefully some snow on the back end. Fingers crossed!
