The ski popped blue today and it’s a nice day to be outside. Conditions continue to be crusty and with no snow now for a number of days, the backcountry is very limited. As advised yesterday, untouched snow is sketchy with very firm conditions below that surface. Skiing classic side- country runs that see traffic and are “skied in” will be skiing best today. Be prepared for sticky snow down low today with the strength of the sun and in south facing areas. It’s a good idea to start carrying some rub-on wax for just this type of condition. Come by the shop and pick up some Swix- F4 Rub On wax. You’ll be glad you did. And your welcome. Snow is forecasted tonight with a good chance of some measurable accumulation in the high elevations. It’s a quick hitter that could bring us back to better conditions and enjoy a coveted New England pow day before it warms back up again later in the week. Fingers crossed for 3-4’!
