Well, the winter mix that was forecasted last night, was all rain as of this morning, even up high. The good news is it has made the snow soft, but turns are still certainly very challenging, so keep your expectations low for the descent and just enjoy the uphill and opportunity of just being outside today. Visibility is also low with some dense fog right now. Light rain will be falling through the morning, changing to sleet and over to snow by the afternoon, with a few inches possible by later this afternoon. With that rain changing to snow, a very sharp temperature drop will be taking place with temps getting into the teens accompanied by strong northwest winds. Look for all of the soft snow to set up quickly, seize up and turn firm by mid-afternoon, so if you are going out be prepared for rapidly changing conditions. Fingers are crossed for a few inches later today which could make low angle skiing pretty enjoyable for the weekend.Â
