January 17th
Forecasted snows delivered yesterday and into the evening leaving us with up to a foot of Champlain blower this morning depending on where you were and what elevation you happen to be skiing at. Backcountry enthusiasts were treated to nice trail breaking conditions on the way up with the light snow, and it certainly delivered Utah like dry and light fluffy powder for the the descent.Â
Down low you are still feeling a crust layer, but up high the skiing is now deep and smooth. We have certainly rebounded quite nicely to where we were a week ago. Looks like we have a chance of snow today and this evening. Then we really start to feel winters grip with the coldest temperatures of the year coming in for the remainder of the week and into the weekend. Throw on an extra layer and get after it this week, the snow is sublime right now!
