The run continues……
We were greeted with another inch of fairy dust this morning and it finally feels like we are living in a snow globe. Winter is in full swing and it feels oh so good!
The backcountry continues to deliver with great coverage and even the steeps are filling in nicely. We now have a very solid base from top to bottom. The snow that we have received this week is very light in nature, and is what we eastern powder hounds like to call the Lake Champlain Blower.
Tonight and through the weekend we go into our first deep freeze of the season with temperatures being in the single digits. With the wind chill, temps will be dipping below zero for the first time all season. It’s the prefect kind of weather to ski tour in and stay warm and comfortable.
The backcountry, ski areas, cross country centers, neighborhood sledding hills, pounds and lakes are rounding into top winter form right now. Winter is here and conditions are certainly peaking right now. Get out there and enjoy whatever application you choose to embrace and enjoy the snow.
