Oh my goodness!

This storm has certainly over performed all forecasts and we have reached the two foot mark, and it’s still dumping out as of 10am this morning.  Winds have certainly kicked up as well, but temps have fallen and what we received overnight has certainly dried out a bit.  More snow is forecasted in the upper elevations for the rest of the day today so it will be interesting to see where we end up.  The turns will be the deepest of the season by far.  Watch out for sloughing snow, fractures and potential slides and avalanches on steeper terrain like the Notch.  Be aware and ski with a partner particularly in the trees where tree wells lurk and can be a hidden a danger if you happen to fall into one. Get out there and enjoy, be safe and bring a snorkel!
