March, 4th
It’s Town Meeting Day today so don’t forget to get out and vote!
We are patiently waiting for March to come roaring in like a lion but this week throws us yet another curveball. We have been fighting with pretty consistent fog up on the mountain the past few days and that still persists today. We are certainly seeing the snowpack take a rather large hit with the fog, southern winds and warm temperatures we have been experiencing of late.  Â
We need to get through some rain again before things finally flip back to snow on Wednesday with hopefully some moderate accumulation. Friday looks like the pick of the week with sunny skies and a nice-looking spring day on tap. Thursday evening temperatures reach below freezing and with temps getting into the low 40's with sun, the corn horn should be sounding for that elusive peel away snow that makes spring skiing so special.Â
The up-and-coming weekend looks like a rain- snow mix again, so fingers crossed that Mt. Mansfield comes through with a little magic to get us back into winter mode.  We still have a solid 6 weeks of winter weather coming our way, so don't give up hope quite yet. Do those snow dances, burn a few pair or straight skis and pray to the snow gods for white stuff to be falling from the skies again soon.
