With a lightweight Paulownia and maple wood core, the skis are nimble, agile, and super quick from edge to edge. The addition of a carbon web adds stiffness without adding too much weight. The whole idea with backcountry skis is to be able to create a ski that is substantial enough to handle some serious descents without weighing you down on the uphill.
