Lyngen is Norrøna's ski touring line, and thermo100active is insulation built to be worn while you're working rather than while you're standing still.
That distinction matters more than almost any other spec on this order. Most insulation is designed for rest stops, and it cooks you on the skin track — so you take it off, get cold at the transition, and put it back on. Active insulation breathes hard enough to stay on while you climb, which means one less layer change per transition and a lot less faffing in the cold.
Thermo100 is the higher fill weight in Norrøna's thermo range, but the fabric and construction are what make it active rather than the amount of fill.
If you tour, this solves a problem you've been living with. If you ski lifts, it's warm and breathable and slightly wasted, and a warm2 piece would serve you better for less.
