Men's Downwool 180 Jacket 26/27

This is the hoodless version of Ortovox's DownWool 180. The fill is DownWool by Grüezi bag: 70% duck down with 30% alpine wool, where the wool manages moisture and helps the down loft up to 30% better, so warmth stays steady when conditions turn damp. The outer is windproof, water-resistant 100% recycled polyamide.

No hood means less weight, less bulk at the neck and nothing bunching under a helmet or a shell hood. The trade is obvious on a cold, windy summit, where a hood is the fastest warmth you can add.

It suits skiers who already wear a helmet or a hooded shell and want their insulation to stay out of the way. If your insulated layer is often the outermost thing you have on, take the Hooded.
