The Kaizen 100 is DPS's do-it-all ski, a 100 mm waist with full carbon construction built around a split wood core. This version wears the Satin Carbon Blue finish. It runs DPS's classic 15 m turn radius with a big rockered and tapered tip, Rockwell 48 steel edges, a 4000-series World Cup base with factory-applied Phantom Glide and an aluminum tailbar, and it is made in the USA.

The trade-off for that much rocker is a ski that leans toward soft snow. It floats far better than a 100 mm waist suggests and pivots with almost no effort, while the split wood core and carbon give it the suspension and dampness to handle firmer days. Skiers who want a locked-in carver will be happier on the Kaizen 105.

It is for skiers who want one ski that can handle nearly anything, with a slight preference for soft snow. Think early corduroy, bumps, surprise storms and spring corn.

DPS makes it from 153 to 189 cm. Come talk to us about the right length for how and where you ski, and we will set you up with a binding to match.

We think the Kaizen 100 is a fantastic everyday ski for Vermont, quick and surfy in the trees and ready the moment it starts snowing.

Quick Rule

  • Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
  • Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
  • Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
  • Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.

Adjust For

  • Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
  • Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
  • Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
