For skiers who refuse to stay in one lane, the Mantra 88 W is a confident companion. Narrow enough to feel quick edge-to-edge on firm snow, wide enough to remain composed when conditions soften, it moves fluidly between groomers, bumps, chalk, and fresh snow without missing a beat.

Its versatility begins with Völkl’s 3D Radius Sidecut, blending multiple turn radii into a single shape. The longer radii in the tip and tail provide calm stability at speed and smooth exits from longer arcs, while the tighter center radius makes short turns feel intuitive and energetic. Whether you’re carving early-morning corduroy or dancing through moguls, the ski adapts naturally to your tempo.

Subtle tip and tail rocker eases turn initiation and adds forgiveness in variable or deeper snow, while camber underfoot maintains grip and precision. The proven Multilayer Woodcore, wrapped in Full Sidewall ABS, delivers dependable edge hold and a solid, balanced feel under pressure.

Factory-tuned with Serial Finish and built on a durable P-Tex 2100 base, the Mantra 88 W is ready to go straight from rack to lift line.

Quick Rule

  • Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
  • Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
  • Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
  • Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.

Adjust For

  • Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
  • Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
  • Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
