The 4FRNT Renegade is built for big mountains and deep snow, from exposed alpine lines to tight trees. Eric "Hoji" Hjorleifson redesigned it with a longer, more gradual tip rocker to reduce deflection and improve flotation.

A wide 122mm platform, tapered shape and rockered profile give it a surfy feel that pivots and slashes in soft snow, yet 4FRNT says it stays stable at speed.

An aspen and maple hardwood core adds strength and power underfoot, carbon stringers add pop and stability, and a neoprene rubber tip absorbs vibration. The 4-Lock tail hole locks the skin strap to the ski on long climbs.

It is light enough for touring but is a powder tool first. On firm, icy days a cambered, narrower ski will hold an edge with less effort.

For storm days and deep backcountry lines, the Renegade is a playful, confidence-inspiring ski that loves to go fast in soft snow.

Tech Features

Ski Shape

A wide platform and tapered shape with a surfy feel, built for big terrain and deep snow.

4-Lock Skin Integration

A small hole in the tail lets a self-locking strap lock the skin to the ski, so there is no tail clip to slip off or fail.

Rocker

Early rise in the tip and tail improves float in soft snow.

Aspen Maple Core

Lively aspen blended with dense maple for strength, stability and power underfoot.

Neoprene Rubber Tip

Flexible neoprene in the tip absorbs vibration and impact for a smoother, steadier ride.

Carbon Stringers

Lightweight carbon fiber reinforcements add pop and stability without extra weight.

Quick Rule

  • Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
  • Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
  • Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
  • Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.

Adjust For

  • Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
  • Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
  • Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
