Neve Pro Crampons 26/27

The Neve Pro is Black Diamond's ultralight 10-point aluminum crampon, redesigned for fast and light snow travel. An innovative quick-lock center cable construction saves weight and lets the crampons fold in half to pack down small, and it makes length adjustments easy without tools. The pair weighs 468 g.

The Neve Pro uses steel wire bails in front and an aluminum bail in back for a secure fit on welted mountain, telemark and randonnée boots, and a wide toe bail comes standard for better ski boot compatibility. The trade-off is that aluminum is built for snow, not rock or hard ice, so it wears faster if you are scraping over mixed ground.

It is the crampon for ski mountaineers and spring couloir skiers who want traction on the bootpack without a heavy pair of steel points in the pack. If your objectives involve technical ice or a lot of rock, look at a steel crampon instead.

Regular cables fit boot sole lengths of 285 to 345 mm, roughly sizes 36 to 46; short cable kits for 255 to 315 mm are sold separately. Materials are 75% aluminum, 10% steel and 15% TPU.
