The Atomic Bent Chetler 120 is the ski that redefined powder riding — surfy, floaty, and endlessly playful. Chris Benchetler’s signature model and the widest Bent in the family, the 120 is purpose-built for deep snow, creative freeride lines, and backcountry exploration. Beloved by pros and passionate powder hunters alike, this legendary ski doesn’t just float — it inspires you to see the mountain as a blank canvas.

For 25/26, the Bent Chetler 120 evolves again. A full wrap HRZN 3D tip and tail increases surface area and float, keeping the ski buoyant even in bottomless conditions. Powder Rocker (30/40/30) delivers an ultra-surfy feel, with massive tip and tail rise for deep snow performance and camber underfoot for reliable drive on variable terrain. A Light Woodcore made from poplar keeps the ski strong yet impressively light, while Dura Cap Sidewalls channel power and boost edge hold when snow gets choppy.

This year also brings sustainability-focused upgrades. Atomic increased the use of wood while reducing fiberglass, metal, and resin to cut down on the ski’s overall environmental footprint. The topsheet, featuring all-new artwork by Chris Benchetler, now uses more recycled content, and the ski’s material-related CO2 emissions are 13% lower compared to the 2022 model. A new ash wood binding reinforcement band increases strength by 10% — Chris’s favorite update — making this ski as durable as it is playful.

For storm days, heli laps, or touring into untouched bowls, the Bent Chetler 120 is the ultimate deep-day companion: stable, floaty, and endlessly creative.

Quick Rule

  • Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
  • Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
  • Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
  • Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.

Adjust For

  • Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
  • Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
  • Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
