The Hagan Core Carbon 89 is an all-round touring ski with an 89mm waist, an all-mountain rocker and a light poplar core. Carbon reinforces the tip and tail, titanal and fiberglass sit under the binding, and a 3D cap and ABS semi sidewall finish the build.
It is light enough for climbs of more than 1,000 meters, from 1,180g per ski in the 154 to 1,380g in the 178. The trade-off of an 89mm waist is less float in deep powder than a wider ski.
Hagan aims it at advanced tourers who want one universal ski for open terrain, powder slopes and groomers alike. Powder-only skiers will want something wider.
Lengths run 154 to 178cm, with the radius growing from 15 to 20m. Hagan's Quick Tour skin mount uses a fixed tail hook and a tip tensioner.
For long tours and big days of vertical, the Core Carbon 89 is a light, versatile ski we love.

Quick Rule
- Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
- Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
- Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
- Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.
Adjust For
- Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
- Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
- Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
