The Venet Swisswool 60 Vest is a lightweight, breathable insulated vest built for ski touring. The shell is Pertex Quantum in 100% recycled polyamide, wind- and water-resistant, over 60 g/m² of Swisswool insulation 80% Swisswool virgin wool and 20% polylactide. It weighs 255 g.
Merino Airsolation Stretch inserts on the back and sides give four-way stretch and let heat escape, so it keeps you warm without making you sweat. The trade-off is that a vest leaves your arms free, which is exactly the point on the uptrack, but on a cold, windy summit you will want sleeves over it.
It is for touring skiers who want core warmth on the climb and an easy extra layer at transitions, whether it is an after-work lap or a full day out. If you want an insulated piece for standing around at the resort, a full jacket is the better call.
Athletic fit with an elastic hood, elastic armholes and an elastic waist. Two chest pockets are placed to work with a backpack, and their mesh lining doubles as ventilation.
This is one of our favorite pieces for the skin track, light, packable and just the right amount of warmth for every kick turn.
