The 4FRNT MSP 99 is the brand's most awarded ski, with honors from Ski Magazine, Outside and Blister in the all-mountain category. It is built for versatility, stable on hardpack and floaty when it snows.
For 26/27 4FRNT re-engineered it to release off the edge more easily. The running surface is 10 percent shorter, a new gradual early rise sits in the tip and tail, and the flex is about 6 percent softer, so it is easier to engage and disengage the edge.
The titanal laminate is still there for torsional rigidity and edge grip, paired with a lightweight aspen hardwood core for a damp, energetic ride, a neoprene rubber tip to absorb vibration and a sintered base that holds wax and glides well. Traditional camber underfoot adds precision on firm snow.
The result floats through skied-up powder and stays calm in trees, bumped steeps and tight terrain. With metal in it, it still rewards a skier who drives it more than a soft, forgiving ski would.
For skiers who want one ski for every condition on the hill, the MSP 99 is an easy pick we love to recommend.

Quick Rule
- Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
- Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
- Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
- Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.
Adjust For
- Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
- Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
- Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
