XTD is Atomic's hybrid designation: an alpine boot that tours, not a touring boot that skis. The 130 is the flex. Shell and cuff are full polyurethane for a smoother flex and a damper ride, walk mode is Free/Lock 4.5 with 54 degrees of range, and the lower shell closes with BOA rather than a buckle. The last is 98mm, narrow and low volume.
The trade is volume. A 98mm last is narrow, and a wide forefoot or high instep is not what this shell is shaped around. It is heavier than a dedicated touring boot too, which you feel on a long skin track. The weight buys a boot that genuinely drives a ski.
This is the one-boot answer for someone riding lifts most days and earning turns on the rest. Nearly all resort days, a pure alpine boot fits better for the money. Nearly all touring days, something lighter serves you better going up.
Sizing is by full shell, so 27/27.5 is one boot. Memory Fit lets us heat shell, cuff and liner and move up to 6mm at the forefoot and 10mm at the ankle.
Fitted properly, this is about as much downhill boot as you can reasonably take uphill.
Ski boots are sized in Mondopoint, based on the length of your foot in centimeters. The chart below is a general reference for converting between sizing systems.
This chart is not a fitting. The only way to know your ski boot size is to be fit in person, either with a Boot Fitting at our shop or from a professional fitting you have had elsewhere. Sizing, shape, and volume vary by brand and model, and a performance fit is snugger than your street shoe. Unworn boots can be returned under our return policy, but a boot that doesn't fit can be a big hassle for your trip if you haven't tried it on.

Half Sizes
Ski boots are built with one shell for each full and half size, so a 27 and a 27.5 are the same boot with a different liner or footboard. That is why sizes are listed together, like 27/27.5.
Very few models differ from this. Scarpa is the main exception, pairing sizes the other way (for example, 26.5/27 share a shell). When a model is sized differently, we call it out on that product's page.
