The Topo Athletic Vista is a max-cushioned men's trail runner designed for technical, rugged terrain. It pairs a ZipFoam midsole in a rocker design with a Vibram Megagrip outsole and 4mm lugs. Stack height is 38mm at the heel and 33mm at the forefoot for a 5mm drop, and it weighs 309g. Up top is an engineered mesh upper over an FKT closed-cell beaded foam insole.
The honest trade-off is weight. All that cushion and protection lands at 309g, so it is not the lightest or most nimble option when you want something fast and low to the ground.
It is for trail runners who want plenty of cushion and protection underfoot, with dependable grip for rocky, rooty miles.
The Vista comes in a standard D width with Topo's anatomical toe box, which leaves room for natural toe splay. Traditional lacing lets you customize the fit, and the padded tongue adds comfort. A toe bumper adds protection, and the shoe is gaiter-attachment compatible for days when trail debris is flying.
We think it is a great, cushioned workhorse for long days on the trails around Stowe and anywhere the ground gets rough.
