The Atomic Colt 7 is a lightweight junior alpine binding with a 2.0 to 7.5 DIN range. It accepts Alpine DIN (ISO 5355) and GripWalk (ISO 23223) soles on both adult and kids' boots. The toe's automatic wing adjustment adapts to boot width and height while keeping release values consistent, and the freeski brakes self-retract and sit close to the heel. It is also race kit compatible.
The trade-off is range. With a 7.5 top DIN and a beginner to intermediate rating, it's built for kids, and older teens skiing hard and heavy will eventually step up to an adult binding.
It's for young skiers from their first turns through confident groomer laps, plus families with kids joining race programs.
The self-adjusting toe makes it easy to move between boots as kids grow, including hand-me-downs. Atomic recommends choosing a brake width that matches the ski's waist or runs up to 15 mm wider.
We like it as a simple, light, dependable binding that keeps kids connected to their skis season after season.
