The Gordini Prima Mitt is a waterproof kids' mitten made for snow play and easy on and off. The textured shell is abrasion resistant, and the palm, fingers and thumb use a textured synthetic material for better grip. Inside, an AquaBloc insert is waterproof, windproof and breathable, Megaloft synthetic insulation provides the warmth, and a moisture-wicking lining helps keep hands dry.
The trade-off with any mitten is dexterity. Little hands stay warmer with fingers together, but grabbing small things like zipper pulls or lift tickets takes a bit more effort than in a glove.
It is built for kids who spend their days building snow forts, sledding and learning to ski. Parents will appreciate a mitt that holds up to rough play and goes on quickly when everyone is ready to head outside.
The Prima uses a gauntlet cuff with a side zip and wrist strap. Unzip the side to open the mitt wide for easy entry, then zip it up and snug the wrist strap to keep snow out over the jacket sleeve.
We think the Prima is a great everyday winter mitt for kids. Warm, waterproof and fun to wear, it keeps young skiers and sledders happy outside longer.
