The Lange L-Kid is an easy-to-use, introductory junior ski boot for the smallest skiers on the hill. It uses a classic rear-entry design with a large cuff opening for the easiest entry and exit, and a simple one-buckle closure that is quick and effortless. It has no walk mode and is rated for beginner to intermediate skiers.
The trade-off is simplicity. With a single buckle and a rear-entry shell, the L-Kid is built around ease and comfort for learning, rather than the adjustability of a multi-buckle performance boot.
It is made for little kids just starting out, the ones learning to make a pizza and a french fry, and for parents who want boots that go on fast in a cold parking lot.
The rear-entry shell and big cuff opening make it easy to slide a small foot in, and the single buckle closes it up without fuss. Lange designed it for the right blend of support and comfort for young learners.
We think the L-Kid is a fantastic first boot, taking the struggle out of getting ready so the day is all about having fun on snow.
Ski boots are sized in Mondopoint, based on the length of your foot in centimeters. The chart below is a general reference for converting between sizing systems.
This chart is not a fitting. The only way to know your ski boot size is to be fit in person, either with a Boot Fitting at our shop or from a professional fitting you have had elsewhere. Sizing, shape, and volume vary by brand and model, and a performance fit is snugger than your street shoe. Unworn boots can be returned under our return policy, but a boot that doesn't fit can be a big hassle for your trip if you haven't tried it on.

Conversions are approximate and can differ by half a size between brands.
Ski boots are built with one shell for each full and half size, so a 27 and a 27.5 are the same boot with a different liner or footboard. That is why sizes are listed together, like 27/27.5.
Very few models differ from this. Scarpa is the main exception, pairing sizes the other way (for example, 26.5/27 share a shell). When a model is sized differently, we call it out on that product's page.
