The Atomic Bent Jr 140-150 is a kids' all-mountain freestyle ski paired with the Atomic L6 GW binding (DIN 2 to 5.5). It has an 85 mm waist for stability, a Densolite core, Dura Cap sidewalls, a structured topsheet, and an All Mountain Rocker 15/75/10 profile. It weighs 1250 g at 140 cm.

The trade-off is focus. The 85 mm waist and directional, maneuverable build are tuned for stability and versatility across the whole mountain, so this is an all-terrain ski first rather than a dedicated groomer carver.

It is designed for kids looking to gain confidence skiing the whole mountain, from groomers to deeper snow, terrain parks, and small features, and it covers a skill range from beginner to advanced with both short and long turns.

Atomic's sizing chart matches the 140 to 150 cm range to skiers roughly 4'9" to 5'1" and 79 to 100 lbs. The L6 GW binding is set up as a complete package with the ski.

We think the Bent Jr is a fantastic ski for young rippers who want to explore every corner of the mountain. Stable, easy to handle, and fun everywhere, it builds skills and stoke at the same time.

This guide is for alpine (downhill) skis. Ski length depends on your height, your ability, and how you like to ski. Use this chart as a starting point, then talk to us about the ski itself: rocker, width, and turn shape all change how long a ski feels.

Quick Rule

  • Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
  • Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
  • Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
  • Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.

Adjust For

  • Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
  • Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
  • Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
