XP 120 Positrack 25/26

There’s a quiet freedom to traveling under your own power—moving through glades and across wind-scoured fields with nothing but the hush of snow beneath you. The Rossignol XP 120 Positrack is built for that rhythm. Inspired by the bold shape and confident downhill manners of Rossignol’s freeride lineage, this backcountry touring ski pairs playful geometry with a lightweight, distance-ready construction.

At 120-90-105, the sidecut is generous without feeling cumbersome, inviting smooth arcs when terrain tips downward. A modest tip rocker helps the ski rise in soft snow and initiates turns with ease, while a waxless Positrack base keeps you striding efficiently across rolling approaches. It’s a ski that understands the balance between glide and grip—between covering ground and savoring the descent.

Underfoot, a low-density wood core keeps weight in check without sacrificing liveliness. The flex feels supple from tip to tail, yet torsionally stable where it counts. Full-length steel edges anchor each turn, offering reliable bite when conditions shift from soft powder to windpack or refrozen crust. Add climbing skins for steeper objectives, and the XP 120 becomes a capable companion for both short meadow laps and ambitious backcountry tours.

This is Nordic travel reimagined—light on the climb, composed on the descent, and endlessly adaptable to the terrain ahead.
