The Raider 11 Evo is ATK's lightweight touring binding for backcountry, sidecountry and everyday touring. Vertical and lateral release values adjust independently from 3 to 11, and it weighs 382 g per binding with a 97 mm brake. It uses ATK's Cam Release System, an aluminum baseplate and 25 mm of boot sole length adjustment.
The trade-off of a pin binding this light is that it is built for touring first, so skiers who spend most days lift skiing will want a heavier frame binding. ATK still gives it 14 mm of rearward elastic travel at the heel to keep it composed on the way down.
It is for touring skiers on tech boots who want a light, simple binding for long days, especially lighter-weight skiers. The Snowpack Proof toe resists snow buildup, and the Uphill Hardness Variator lets you adjust toe clamping force in tour mode.
It climbs with two magnetic heel riser heights of 24 and 49 mm plus a flat mode, and the automatic Evo brake engages with a 180 degree heel rotation. It is crampon-ready, and we will help you set up the right brake width.
We think the Raider 11 Evo is a fantastic do-everything touring binding for Green Mountain skin tracks and big spring days.
