Sharing the same construction as the wider Backland 109, the FreeTour Profile uses more poplar wood and less fiberglass, metal, and resin for a naturally balanced flex and dynamic, responsive skiing. The poplar and caruba Ultra Light Woodcore keeps weight low while maintaining strength and stability, and the HRZN 3D tip expands surface area for superior float in deep snow. A Powder Rocker with pronounced tip and tail rocker and camber underfoot ensures smooth handling through powder, crud, and variable snow, while the Directional Shape and Dura Cap Sidewall deliver precision, grip, and durability.

By reimagining the Backland design with more sustainable materials, the Backland 102 achieves a 26% reduction in CO₂ equivalent emissions compared to the Backland 100 (2022), without compromising performance.
