The Hagan Core Carbon 92 is the widest ski in Hagan's Core Carbon series, with a 92mm waist and a 126-92-109mm shape. It uses a karuba core with carbon and titanal in a semi sidewall sandwich, with a 340mm front rocker for float in powder.

Hagan pitches it at tourers who want a more downhill-oriented ski while keeping it light, about 2,800g per pair in the 170cm. The trade-off is a bit more weight than the narrower Core Carbon 89.

It is a great fit for skiers who climb to ski and want float on powder days without a heavy setup. Skiers who prioritize the climb above all may prefer the Core Carbon 89 or Ultra.

Lengths are 162, 170 and 176cm, and the 170 has an 18.5m radius. Choose your usual touring length.

For powder tours and big, fun descents, the Core Carbon 92 is a light ski that loves to go downhill.

Quick Rule

  • Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
  • Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
  • Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
  • Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.

Adjust For

  • Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
  • Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
  • Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
