Touring package: Hagan Ultra 84 in 148 cm paired with Contour Guide Pure climbing skins, 115mm, size XS (145 to 152 cm), already sized for this ski. Buy them together and save over buying each separately.
The Hagan Ultra 84 is a light touring ski with an 84mm waist and a 122-84-107mm shape, built for demanding high alpine tours. A karuba core with carbon and titanal sits in a semi sidewall sandwich, semi-cap construction.
At about 2,100g per pair in the 164cm, it is built to make long climbs easier. The trade-off of a narrow, light ski is less float in deep snow and less stability in heavy crud than a wider freeride ski.
It is a great fit for ski mountaineers and fitness-minded tourers who care most about the uphill. Skiers who want a wider, more downhill ski should look at the Boost series.
Lengths run 148 to 172cm, and the 164 has a 16.5m radius. Choose your usual touring length.
For high alpine objectives and long days of climbing, the Ultra 84 is a light, nimble ski that keeps you moving.

This guide is for alpine (downhill) skis. Ski length depends on your height, your ability, and how you like to ski. Use this chart as a starting point, then talk to us about the ski itself: rocker, width, and turn shape all change how long a ski feels.

Quick Rule
- Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
- Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
- Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
- Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.
Adjust For
- Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
- Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
- Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
