The Gore-Tex Atlas Jr. is Hestra's waterproof mitten for kids. It has a tough polyester shell with weather-resistant, breathable polyester on the back of the hand, a GORE-TEX insert that blocks wind and wet while letting moisture escape, synthetic fiberfill insulation and a fleece lining.
The trade-off of a mitten is less dexterity than a glove, but for active kids who tend to get cold hands it is the warmer choice. Hestra also makes a five-finger version for kids who prefer gloves.
It is for active juniors on ski days and snow days who need hands that stay warm and dry.
The palm uses a coated PU Grip fabric for grip, a Velcro wrist adjustment keeps the fit snug, and there is an attachment point for Hestra's wrist straps. It is machine washable. Bring your kids in and we will find the right size.
We think the Atlas Jr. is a fantastic mitten for Vermont kids, built to keep the whole day fun from first run to hot chocolate.
