The K2 Mindbender 88 is the frontside member of the redesigned Mindbender family, an 88 mm class carver built for hard snow and fresh corduroy. It runs K2's All Terrain Rocker, with mild camber underfoot, pronounced tip rocker and a touch of tail rocker.
Under the topsheet is an Aspen core for structure with Paulownia added to keep weight down, a Titanal I-Beam that covers about two thirds of the ski's width between the contact points, and Dark Matter Tech weighting in the forebody and mid-tail to calm vibration. K2 bonds it all with a bio resin that improves core bonding and cold-weather strength, and finishes it with a sintered base.
The trade-off is the one every narrow, metal-laced ski makes. It is happiest on firm snow and groomers, and it will feel more planted than playful once the snow gets deep. If most of your days are on the trail map rather than off it, that is exactly what you want.
It suits intermediate to advanced skiers who want a confident, friendly carver with real edge hold. Most skiers size it around chin to nose height, longer for strong skiers who like speed.
For crisp mornings on freshly groomed trails, the Mindbender 88 is a blast to lay over on edge.

This guide is for alpine (downhill) skis. Ski length depends on your height, your ability, and how you like to ski. Use this chart as a starting point, then talk to us about the ski itself: rocker, width, and turn shape all change how long a ski feels.

Quick Rule
- Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
- Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
- Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
- Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.
Adjust For
- Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
- Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
- Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
