The Mammut Alugator Pro Light is a UIAA 156 certified avalanche shovel with the largest blade in Mammut's range. The hardened, anodized aluminum blade measures 24 by 27.5 cm and is sharpened, tilt-resistant and stepped for driving it into hard debris.
The trade-off is size. The big blade moves snow fast, and at 645 grams it is not the lightest shovel you can carry.
It is a great match for ski tourers, guides and anyone who wants maximum digging power in a rescue or when building snow profiles.
The oval telescopic shaft locks automatically and extends from 61 cm collapsed to 86 cm, with an ergonomic T-grip. A straight blade back cuts clean profile walls, and attachment holes take a snow anchor or rescue sled. This listing is Neon Orange.
We love the Alugator Pro Light for serious digging when it counts.
