The Stoney HS Hooded Jacket is Mammut's all-mountain ski shell, redesigned with a fully recycled 75D polyester face and a single-material build that makes it easier to recycle. The Mammut DRY Tour 3-layer laminate has a 15,000 mm water column and 20,000 g/m²/24h breathability, and the jacket weighs 805 g.
The trade-off is that the Stoney is a shell, not an insulated jacket. You choose your warmth with layers, which works from storm days to spring laps, but you will want a good mid layer on the coldest lift days.
It is for skiers who want one dependable shell for the whole season at the resort and in the sidecountry. X-shaped pit zips dump heat fast, and the detachable snow skirt and hand gaiters keep the snow out on deep days.
Snow Sports Regular fit with room for layers. It has a helmet-compatible, 1-point adjustable hood, a water-repellent 2-way front zipper, two chest pockets, a sleeve pocket, zippered inner and elastic mesh pockets, hook-and-loop cuffs and an adjustable hem.
We think the Stoney is one of the best all-around ski shells out there, dry, tough and ready for every kind of day on the hill.
