The Scarpa Maestrale RS is a touring boot on a 102 mm last with a 125 flex. The lower shell is Grilamid BIO with a Carbon Core, the cuff is Pebax Rnew with Carbon Core, and it has tech inserts and Vibram Cayman LT soles (ISO 9523). Scarpa lists 1,470 g per boot in a 27.
The trade-off is that it is a balanced boot, not a freeride boot. Blister found the initial flex softer than heavier four-buckle options, with less lateral precision on firm snow with wide skis.
It suits backcountry skiers who want real downhill support without lugging a 1,500 g plus boot up every skin track. Skiers who want alpine-boot power for aggressive lines will want something heavier.
The closure uses a micro-adjustable upper buckle, the HRS instep strap, a Wave LT forefoot closure, and a Booster power strap. The spring-loaded walk lever gives 61 degrees of cuff motion, forward lean adjusts by 2 degrees, and the heat moldable Intuition Pro Flex liner comes with removable spoilers. We think the Maestrale RS is a great do-it-all touring boot for long days in the Green Mountains and beyond.
Ski boots are sized in Mondopoint, based on the length of your foot in centimeters. The chart below is a general reference for converting between sizing systems.
This chart is not a fitting. The only way to know your ski boot size is to be fit in person, either with a Boot Fitting at our shop or from a professional fitting you have had elsewhere. Sizing, shape, and volume vary by brand and model, and a performance fit is snugger than your street shoe. Unworn boots can be returned under our return policy, but a boot that doesn't fit can be a big hassle for your trip if you haven't tried it on.

Half Sizes
Ski boots are built with one shell for each full and half size, so a 27 and a 27.5 are the same boot with a different liner or footboard. That is why sizes are listed together, like 27/27.5.
Very few models differ from this. Scarpa is the main exception, pairing sizes the other way (for example, 26.5/27 share a shell). When a model is sized differently, we call it out on that product's page.
