The Zeal Meridian is a Whitelines 25/26 Top 100 winner that pairs Zeal's patented Rail Lock System for on-mountain lens changes with Optimum series lenses. Observation Deck Technology tilts the lens down to add 20% more vertical field of view.

The trade-off is choosing your lens up front. Every colourway includes a Persimmon Sky Blue bonus lens for snowy days and night skiing, but the main lens changes the price: the Automatic+ photochromic polarized options cost more than the standard polarized lenses, and they adjust their tint as the light changes so you rarely need to swap.

Zeal rates it a medium fit, an average-sized frame most people can wear. It has a cylindrical bonus lens, photochromic and polarized lens options, a two-pocket goggle bag and Zeal's two-year warranty.

Check the lens listed on the colour you choose: Automatic+ RB runs from 35% to 15% VLT, and the Polarized Jade Mirror and Polarized Sakura lenses run at 11%.

We think the Meridian is one of the best all-around goggles on the wall: a great fit for most faces and fast lens swaps when a Vermont storm rolls in.
