The Völkl Revolt 104 is a favorite of Völkl's team riders on most days, especially in fresh snow. It is built on a multilayer beech and poplar woodcore with Tuff Box Construction, full sidewalls with a mini cap at the tip and tail, and a DS2000 base.

A 3D sidecut uses long radii at the tip and tail and a shorter mid-body radius, on a rocker-camber-rocker profile with tip and tail rocker and a partial twin tail. Graphics are by Emiliano Donnaggio.

The trade-off with a playful freestyle ski is that it does not offer the edge grip of a stiff, narrow carver on boilerplate. It shines in soft snow and on side hits.

It suits advanced to expert skiers who split time between the park and the whole mountain. Lengths run 172 to 188 cm.

For skiers who want a ski that is not too wide and not too thin for most days on the mountain, the Revolt 104 is a fantastic all-mountain freestyle ski.

Quick Rule

  • Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
  • Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
  • Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
  • Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.

Adjust For

  • Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
  • Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
  • Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
