The 4FRNT Hoji is Eric Hjorleifson's signature ski and continues to lead the charge with its legendary adaptability everywhere inbounds and out. It is a Freeskier Editors' Pick and Blister Recommended.

A multi-radius rocker profile blends float in deep snow with dependable edge control. It is stable across a wide range of snow, from the skin track to technical chutes to deep turns in the resort.

An Aspen and Maple core brings pop and power while staying manageable on the uphill. Carbon stringers and a neoprene rubber tip round out the build. 4FRNT's 4-Lock skin integration runs the skin strap through a hole in the tail, so the skin is locked to the ski instead of hanging on a clip that can slip off mid-tour.

The Hoji measures 128-112-120mm with a 30m radius in every length, from 1790g per ski in the 170cm to 2066g in the 191cm. It is available in 170, 177, 184 and 191cm. At 112mm underfoot it is heavier than the Raven or Nevar, a fair trade for the extra float and stability.

For skiers who want one ski for both resort laps and big backcountry days, the Hoji is a proven, do-it-all favorite.

Tech Features

Ski Shape

Built for resort and backcountry, with a multi-radius rocker, mid-fat waist and tapered tip and tail for surfy turns and stability.

4-Lock Skin Integration

A small hole in the tail lets a self-locking strap lock the skin to the ski, so there is no tail clip to slip off or fail.

Multi Radius Rocker

Blends multiple radii for smoother turn initiation, better float and balanced control in mixed conditions.

Aspen Maple Core

Lively aspen blended with dense maple for strength, stability and power underfoot.

Neoprene Rubber Tip

Flexible neoprene in the tip absorbs vibration and impact for a smoother, steadier ride.

Carbon Stringers

Lightweight carbon fiber reinforcements add pop and stability without extra weight.

Quick Rule

  • Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
  • Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
  • Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
  • Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.

Adjust For

  • Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
  • Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
  • Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
