Sabretooth Pro Crampons 26/27

The Sabretooth is Black Diamond's best all-around crampon for the full spectrum of frozen objectives, from moderate local ice flows to classic mountaineering routes and technical alpine faces. It uses a redesigned stainless steel construction that resists snowballing and will not rust, with durable horizontal frontpoints and increased rocker in the front rail for modern mountain boots. The Pro version weighs 890 g.

Dual secondary points are optimized for technical precision while still giving a balanced, stable platform on descents and lower-angle ground. The trade-off is that a versatile horizontal-frontpoint crampon gives up a little of the precision of a dedicated vertical-point ice crampon on steep water ice.

The Pro version accommodates boots with a toe welt and uses a low-profile micro-adjust heel bail for a precise fit. Front and rear dual-density anti-balling plates are included. For use on ski boots, Black Diamond recommends the wide toe bails, sold separately.

Materials are 75% steel and 25% TPU. Bring your boots by the shop and we will make sure the fit is dialed.
