Women's Ortler Softshell Pants 26/27

The Ortler Softshell Pants are versatile softshell touring pants ready for sun, wind or snow on demanding ski tours. The elastic fabric is 60% recycled polyamide, 20% merino, 10% polyamide and 10% elastane, with merino against the skin. The women's version weighs 445 g.

The fabric is breathable on the ascent, flexible when you move and pleasantly warm on the descent. The honest trade-off is that softshell is water-resistant, not waterproof, so on a wet storm day a hardshell pant is the drier choice.

Ortovox gives them its top rating for ski touring. They are for skiers who spend their days on the skin track and want one comfortable pant for most conditions. If you mostly ride lifts in heavy weather, go with a waterproof shell pant instead.

Regular fit with an adjustable waistband, anatomically shaped knees and adjustable ankle cuffs. Two zippered front pockets, a right thigh pocket with a mesh inner for an avalanche transceiver, and water-resistant edge protection round it out.
