The Contour Tail Hook Set is a pair of flexible plastic tail clips with the rivets to attach them. It is the tail system that comes on Contour's stock precut skins.
The trade-off is that it is a fixed, non-adjustable tail. That makes it a great choice for full-length skins cut to one pair of skis, but if you want to move skins between skis, an adjustable tail strap is the better pick.
It is for Contour skin owners replacing a worn or broken tail hook, or setting up a skin with a simple, low-profile tail.
It installs with hammer rivets, which are included.
We think keeping a spare tail hook set in the repair kit is a smart move for any Contour skin owner.
