mountainFLOW eco-wax Hot Wax is a ski and snowboard wax made from 100% plant-based ingredients with 0% petroleum. mountainFLOW says it performs as well as conventional petroleum-based wax in controlled tests, and it is biodegradable and non-toxic.

The trade-off with any temperature-specific wax is that you pick it for the conditions. This is the Cool formula, made for 10 to 25 degrees Fahrenheit, which covers a lot of typical Vermont winter days.

It is for skiers and riders who wax their own gear and care about what washes off their bases into the mountains. Everything you put on your skis ends up in the snowpack, so a plant-based wax is an easy way to ski a little cleaner.
