Black Strap Kids Hood Balaclava

The BlackStrap Kids Hood is the youth version of the brand's Hood balaclava, built with the same tech as the adult model. It's made in the USA from BlackStrap's patented Tri-Blend fabric, a USA-milled 4-way stretch knit that is antimicrobial, moisture wicking, lens safe, and UPF 50+ rated for sun protection.

The head and neck are a single layer to keep heat and moisture moving and to sit cleanly under a helmet. The face and neck use the dual-layer Exo-Hinge for an extra wind barrier. That means it's a thin, breathable piece, so on the really bitter days it does its best work as part of a layered system with a warm jacket collar and a good helmet.
