The Gordini Sender Mitt is a women's waterproof ski mitten built for long mountain days. It pairs a 94% nylon, 6% elastane shell with polyester trim, Megaloft synthetic insulation and a Gore-Tex insert, all over a moisture-wicking polyester liner. The polyurethane palm is touchscreen compatible, and it adds a nose wipe panel, hook-and-loop closure and a leash attachment.
The honest trade-off is dexterity. Like any mitten, it gives up some finger control in exchange for warmth, so small tasks are a touch slower than in a glove, though the touchscreen palm helps.
It is for skiers and snowboarders who want a waterproof, comfortable mitt that handles temperature shifts from the first chair to one more run past dark.
The Sender comes in S, M and L with an undercuff design that slides cleanly beneath a jacket sleeve to seal out snow. The hook-and-loop closure snugs it at the wrist, and Gordini backs it with a limited lifetime warranty.
We think it is a great everyday mitt for long days and changing Vermont weather.
