Not every day is a powder day, and the 4FRNT Nevar was built for the rest of them. Shaped by Eric Hjorleifson, it is the ski in the 4FRNT lineup for skiers who spend most of their days on firm snow and variable snowpack.
A traditional camber profile underfoot delivers the edge hold, precision and stability you need to ski with confidence. Early rise in the tip and tail keeps it nimble for scrubbing speed or reacting quickly in tight terrain.
An Aspen and Maple hardwood core gives an energetic, damp ride with a smooth, balanced flex. Carbon fiber stringers add pop and stability, and a flexible neoprene tip absorbs vibration. 4FRNT's 4-Lock skin integration runs the skin strap through a hole in the tail, so the skin is locked to the ski instead of hanging on a clip that can slip off mid-tour.
The Nevar measures 128-104-118mm in the 177cm with a 22m radius, at 1740g per ski. It comes in 170, 177, 184 and 190cm. The trade-off is less float in deep powder than a wider, fully rockered ski like the Raven.
For touring days on firm, wind-affected or spring snow, the Nevar earns its place on the skin track and holds its line all the way down.
This guide is for alpine (downhill) skis. Ski length depends on your height, your ability, and how you like to ski. Use this chart as a starting point, then talk to us about the ski itself: rocker, width, and turn shape all change how long a ski feels.
