The 100 is the waist and the Bent is Chris Benchetler, whose art has been on this ski since the line began. Poplar Light Woodcore, Powder Rocker at 20/65/15, HRZN 3D shaping wrapping the full tip and tail, Dura Cap sidewalls. Edges run 87 degrees side and 1.0 base with a thicker Resist Edge for rails. Lengths 158 to 186, radius 16.5 to 19.5m, about 1700 grams per ski at 179.

That is light for 100 underfoot, and our take is that a light ski gets pushed around in heavy chop more than a metal laminate does. It is not a carver either. What comes back is swing weight low enough to throw the ski sideways whenever you want.

For the skier who takes the whole hill and wants it fun rather than serious: groomer laps to side hits, switch landings, one pair for a storm day and the firm Tuesday after. Anyone chasing stability at speed in rough snow wants something heavier.

Start near your own height. Down 5 to 10cm if you are mostly in trees and on groomers, up if you ski open softer terrain.

On a soft morning this is the most fun ski in the shop, and it is the one we keep reaching for when the snow is good.

This guide is for alpine (downhill) skis. Ski length depends on your height, your ability, and how you like to ski. Use this chart as a starting point, then talk to us about the ski itself: rocker, width, and turn shape all change how long a ski feels.

Quick Rule

  • Beginner: ski tip around your chin. Shorter skis turn easily.
  • Intermediate: tip between your nose and forehead.
  • Advanced: tip around the top of your head, for stability at speed.
  • Expert: about 5cm longer than advanced, for hard charging and big-mountain terrain.

Adjust For

  • Go longer: heavier build, fast skiing, deep snow, lots of tip rocker.
  • Go shorter: lighter build, tight trees and moguls, uphill touring.
  • Telemark: if you want a ski for tele, we recommend going down about 10cm from the length you normally like.
