Colt 7 GW CA 26/27

The Colt 7 GW CA is Atomic's junior all-mountain binding. GW is GripWalk compatibility, and Automatic Toe Height Adjustment adapts to alpine-normed boots in both Children and Adult Norm, holding release values steady as a growing skier changes boots. It is Race Kit compatible, and the DIN range is deliberately wide to cover a range of ability. Brake widths here are 90 and 100.

Seven is the ceiling, and a junior who is skiing hard will outgrow it. That is the nature of a kids binding rather than a flaw, but it is worth knowing you are buying for this season and probably next, not for five years.

For a young skier moving past the beginner stage and starting to ski the whole hill. A lighter or newer skier is fine on the Colt 5.

Match the brake to the ski waist, clearing it by 0 to 15mm. We set release values against the child's weight, height and boot sole length, and we will recheck them each season as they grow.

It is a straightforward, confidence-building binding at the point where a kid starts properly skiing, and that matters more than it sounds.
