BCA Tracker 4 Avalanche Rescue Package 25/26

The BCA Tracker 4 Avalanche Rescue Package bundles BCA's top beacon with a shovel and probe. The Tracker 4 has a larger LED display, a rubberized over-molded case, Signal Suppression mode for multiple burials, and Big Picture mode showing all transceivers in range. It runs on three AAA batteries, weighs 165 grams with batteries, and carries a 5 year limited warranty. The Dozer 1T shovel uses heat-treated 6061 aluminum, a T-grip, a flat stomp edge, and a 9 x 10.5 inch blade, extending to 30 inches at 545 grams. The Stealth 300 probe extends to 300cm with Quick-Lock assembly and depth markings.

The trade-off is cost against the Tracker 3+ package. The extra investment buys the bigger display and tougher case.

BCA describes this as a smart buy for skiers gearing up for their first backcountry season and for experienced travelers replacing outdated equipment.

Beacon, shovel, and probe are one size. The beacon includes a harness, the shovel collapses to 22.25 inches, and the probe packs down to 43cm.

We think this is one of the most complete, confidence-inspiring rescue kits available, ready for real days in avalanche terrain.
